This week's beer is one of my favorite beers from Blue Point, and one of my favorite Oatmeal Stouts.  Not available in bottles, this stout is packed with roasted malt goodness. There's some chocolately notes, caramel and just enough hop bite to round things off.  It's dark and deep looking, but actually very drinkable and not as "heavy" on the palate as some other Oatmeal Stouts... It's absolutely perfect for those weeks of early fall when you want to start drinking heavier beers, but the weather might still be too warm to really enjoy a thick imperial stout.  Oh yeah, and since there's oatmeal in it, it's perfect with breakfast.
