It's October, the month when beer drinkers rejoice at the yearly release of pumpkin beer! Post Road Pumpkin, from the folks at Brooklyn Brewery, is one of the best.  There's a nice, subtle pumpkin-pie flavor to this one.  Lots of times heavy-handed brewers can over-spice a pumpkin ale, making it hard to drink.  This one has a great balance of flavors and doesn't over-do the nutmeg and clove notes. In fact, it 's one of the rare pumpkin beers that still tastes like beer!  It's usually hard to have more than one pumpkin beer in a row, but this is certainly the exception. Cheers!
