Ramstein Imperial Pilsner - Week of 8/1/11

This week we've got a rare treat for you! My pick of the week is Ramstein Imperial Pilsner from High Pont Brewing in New Jersey. Nicely hopped with just enough bite and frutiness, this Pilsener is a great session beer. But don't let it's drinkablilty fool you, at 7% ABV Ramstein Imperial Pilsner has a powerful kick. Usually I prefer higher octane beers in the Fall and Winter months, but this beer is amazingly refreshing and light; perfect for a warm August evening... maybe with a salad and some salmon fresh off the grill.
