Everclear have released the track, "Be Careful What You Ask for," from their upcoming album, Invisible Stars, their first LP in six years. The album will be out June 26.

This into response of what Scott Weiland had recently said on ABC News Radio that he had reunited with the group and was recording new music and planning a tour with the band. Slash says that Scott is "out of his mind." And that He says he has "absolutely no intention" of getting back together with Scott, and points out that he'll be on the road all year, which leaves no room for any of the Velvet Revolver shows Weiland was talking about.

Tenacious D Gets a Clean Version Of their New Album. Jack Black telling us that Tenacious D isn't "big on bleeps." Their new album "Rize of the Fenix" will come out in both a clean version and the original version this week, but he says they got a little creative with the editing. Black goes on to say editing music with "bleeps" is the lazy way to do things. Instead, he and D partner Kyle Gass wanted to "go the extra mile" and make the clean album just as entertaining as the original, except without all the "F-bombs." Alice In Chains & Limp Bizkit

Jerry Cantrell says Alice In Chains is ready to start on the follow-up to their comeback album Black Gives Way To Blue. Work on the album had been delayed due to Cantrell having shoulder surgery. Jerry telling us that, "It‘s time to get to work and the material is really interesting, the body of work that we’ve done. It’ll be as different as any one of our records is to any other, and it’ll also be just as recognizable. It’s an Alice record, for sure."

Fred Durst tells Kerrang! that Limp Bizkit's first album for their new label Cash Money will be called Stampede Of The Disco Elephants. Durst told the magazine, "Stampede has got to have something sizzling about it that's more universally accepted. Some of the songs have an urban feel. We're writing all different sorts of tracks and it seems like the songs going into that basket are ones that girls can like as much as guys who like rock."

Black Keys on TV

The Black Keys are going to be on TV. The duo has confirmed they will appear on an upcoming episode of Comedy Central's Workaholics. The band signed on to guest star mainly because they are big fans of the show, which follows the adventures of a trio of slackers. It won't be the first time the band has been involved with the hit series - the show used a bit of their recent hit "Lonely Boy" in an episode last fall. The episode is set to air sometime this summer.

The surviving members of the Beastie Boys are expressing their gratitude for outpouring of sympathy they've received following the recent death of Adam "MCA" Yauch. The group's Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz says in a post on the group's website that things are difficult for them right now, but that they wanted to say thanks to friends and family for all the love and support. Ad-Rock adds that he's "glad to know that all the love that Yauch has put out into the world is coming right back at him." The post also includes a photograph of the side of a fist with the messages "PWR2MCA" and "I 'heart' U." Yauch died last Friday following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 47. Numerous artists have remembered Yauch with statements and tributes during their concerts. The "New York Daily News" says the New York Mets also honored Yauch during Friday's game at their home stadium in Queens. A Beastie Boys song played as each Mets batter stepped up to the plate.

Adam Yauch From Beastie Boys Passes

The music community continues to mourn the loss of Beastie Boys co-founder Adam "MCA" Yauch. Yauch, who had been in treatment for salivary cancer for almost three years, passed away last Friday at the age of 47. He announced his diagnosis as a "bit of a setback" in a video statement in July of 2009. Researchers say the cancer is so rare, they're still unsure what causes it. At the time, Yauch expressed optimism about his recovery, calling his diagnosis treatable. The Beastie Boys were just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland last month. Yauch did not attend the ceremony due to his illness, although he did send a letter that was read to the crowd. Both Coldplay and Red Hot Chili Peppers dedicating their shows to Adam over the weekend.
