While Capital Cities is getting some serious love on the alternative charts with their single, “Safe and Sound,” the band is looking forward to finishing their debut album.  Co-frontman Ryan Merchant says that fans can expect the release to feature some unusual collaborations.

"There's going to be a prominent hip-hop feature on our album," he tells Rolling Stone.  “We've definitely been interested in the sonic characteristic of having a rapper coming in and breaking up the song.”

Merchant adds that fans will need to wait a few months until they’ll get the chance to hear their debut album. "We've been working nonstop for probably the past month or so," he explains.  "I think the release date is early June, and we're actually almost finished with it."
