Gotye, Muse, fun., Passion Pit Nominated for International Dance Music Awards

How do we know that dance music is one of the dominant forms of music today?  Because nearly every major chart-topping artist of the last year has received at least a nomination or two at the International Dance Music Awards, scheduled for March 21 in Miami Beach.

Gotye is well-represented at the awards with two nods for Best Solo Breakthrough Artist and Best Alternative/Indie Rock Dance Track for "Somebody That I Used to Know."  Competing against Gotye for the latter prize will be Muse’s “Madness,” fun.’s “Some Nights” and Passion Pit’s “Take a Walk.”  In addition, Florence + the Machine and M83 will duke it out for Best Group Artist.
