Officials in Kiballe District in Africa report a man traveled to a local hospital earlier this month with sticky fingers and left with a cellphone -- and Ebola.
The news website the Daily Monitor reports the 40-year-old sneaked into patients' rooms on August 14, pretending to give comfort to people in the isolation ward, and ended up stealing one of their cellphones.
Unfortunately for the thief, the patient he stole from had the potentially fatal Ebola disease, which the suspect contracted soon after using the contaminated cell phone. He's now being treated at the same hospital.
