Frequently Asked Questions about
Music All Morning

How long has Boris been the host of Music All Morning?
Boris is the original host of Music All Morning.  He is also the only remaining DJ from WRRV's original line-up when the station launched in March of 1995.

Is Boris his real name?
Yes.

What happened to Sarah?
She left to return to school.  Read this letter from her.

What's with all of the different co-hosts?
Music All Morning has had many different co-hosts over the years.  They have all left for various reasons.  Contrary to popular belief, none of them have ever left because of problems with Boris. In fact, Boris still keeps in contact with most of his morning show partners.  Below is a history of past co-hosts:

1995- Chris Rodgers
1995-1996 - Mike D'Antonio
1996-1999 - Lynn Thompson
1999-2000 - Liz Foxx (temporary)
2000-2004 - Jen
2004-2005 - M.K.
2005-2006 - Sarah
2006-2006 - Ally (temporary)
2006-Present - Dianne

Is the WRRV Big Wheel Of CD's a real wheel or just a sound effect?
If you want to believe it's a real wheel, we're not going to ruin it for you.

What time do you guys get up in the morning?
We're in the studio around 4:30am.  Depending on how clean and well dressed we are depends on how much earlier than that we actually woke up.

I am interested in being a guest on your show, whom should I speak with?
You must have misunderstood the name of the show... it's called "Music All Morning".  Since 1995 we have had a strict "no guest" rule.  Some people enjoy listening to morning shows interview people about bass fishing and pot luck dinners; we'd rather listen to music.

I've got a great idea for a funny prank phone call that you could do, do you want to hear it?
Again, it's "Music All Morning".  If you like hearing prank calls, lame song parodies, psychic readings, interns being tortured or girls pretending to take their clothes off - you can listen to every other morning show in the country.  Personally, we'd rather listen to music.

Then stop talking and play some music!
Well, that's not really a question, but I agree (see the above two questions).  While the show is called "Music All Morning" Boris still has to earn his paycheck.  However, sometimes he gets cranky and starts complaining too much, or just gets really excited over something stupid that a celebrity has done.   If it starts to bother you, just call 451-WRRV and tell him to shut up.  He may not listen, but you might just get  on the air!

Someone yells "Let me sleep for the love of God!" at the beginning of each show.  Who is that?
That's Chris Farley from Tommy Boy.

How do I get a copy of that song with the singing chickens that you play during the birthdays?
The song is called "In The Mood" by Ray Stevens.

What's the name of the strange song you play during the WRRV Ass-Backwards Song?
It's called Gossipo Perpetuo by Jean Jacques Perrey.

I love that yodeling music that you play during the sports report, what is that?
Sadly, we have no idea!  it's a recording from a CD that was somehow lost.  If you have any idea who that sick lady is, let us know! UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who wrote in.  The song is an interpretation of Semper Fiedelis by Mary Schneider, the undisputed Yodel Queen.  Previously out of print, you can now hear it on her newly released CD, Yodelling The Classics.

How do I get my name (my friend's name) on the Birthday List?
Because of the amount of requests that we receive, we only accept requests via phone on the date of the birthday.  Click Here for more information.

You play so many sound effects in the morning, how do you find them so quick?
We use a piece of equipment called an "Instant Replay".  It stores and files all of the sound effects that we use for easy access.  If you're really that interested here's what it looks like.

Who is this "Wild Man John"?
John is one of our longest and most faithful listeners.  He's become an unofficial part of the WRRV airstaff.  Come to any station event in the Poughkeepsie area and he'll probably be there.  If you buy him food he will talk to you, and then ask you for a ride home.

Hey, how come the question I wanted to know wasn't listed on this page?
Because we didn't know you had a question.  Email it to wrrv@wrrv.com and perhaps you'll get an answer.
