My player won't open
and/or
play music
First, make sure that your system is up to date with
the requirements needed to run the WRRV player:
Browser:
Microsoft internet Explorer 6, 7
Firefox 2.0 or Later (Firefox users will need the Windows Media
Player Plugin..more information on this at

Media Player:
Windows Media Player 7 or Better

Pop-Up Blockers:
You will need to either disable your pop-up blocker or add "player.cumulusstreaming.com"
to the "allow" list in the configuration of your particular pop-up
blocker.
JavaScript:
JavaScript will need to be anabled on your browser for the Cumulus
Streaming Player to function Properly
My player keeps
buffering, what's wrong?
Buffering issues have more to do with the speed of your internet
connection than anything else. WRRV's stream is designed for
optimal listening quality on high speed internet connections.
First, please make sure that you have downloaded the latest
requirements needed to run the player (see above)
If your internet connection isn't fast enough to keep
up with the player you can make an adjustment for a longer buffer.
Just open the Windows Media Player program and go to:
Tools > Options > Performance > Buffer
Then just increase the length of the buffer until it plays WRRV
without having to stop (this may require a restart).
Commercials keep getting
cut off at the end, or the live broadcast starts late
Because of certain licensing issues with national
commercials and advertisers, we're unable to run all of our on-air
commercials over the internet. Instead, we substitute
alternate audio during these times. Because of the nature
of live radio, the length of these pieces of audio don't always match up exactly. This is
normal, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
